Most Minecraft server hosts charge between $1 and $4 per GB of RAM a month in October 2026. Packyard charges $1.50 per GB a month ($5 minimum), and daily backups with free restores, a modpack installer and a permanent server address are included at every size.

How to compare per-GB prices fairly
- Divide the recurring price by the GB. First-month promos make a host look cheaper than it is from month 2 on.
- Check what costs extra: backups, restores, a modpack installer, a dedicated IP or a subdomain.
- Match the RAM to your server: about 3 GB for vanilla with friends, 4–5 GB for most modpacks. The RAM calculator gives an estimate for your pack and player count.
