How much RAM does a Minecraft server need?
For vanilla on Paper with a few friends, we recommend 3 GB, and that's the size preselected on the order page. On the order page you can pick 3, 4, or 5 GB right now. For a plain Fabric, NeoForge or Forge server with your own mods, we recommend 4 GB. Modpacks need more: see our modpack RAM guide.
Price
$1.50 per GB of RAM per month, with a $5 minimum (up to 3 GB). A 3 GB server is $5 a month.
Beta: 50% off for servers started by 6 December 2026, so 3 GB is $2.50 a month. We'll email you at least 14 days before the price changes. All prices in USD, plus applicable taxes. Money-back on your first payment within 72 hours.
The beta is open to the US & Canada (outside Quebec).

How do my friends join?
They add yourserver.play.packyard.ca in Minecraft's server list.
Can I add plugins or mods?
Plugins on Paper, mods on Fabric, NeoForge or Forge. Upload them in the panel's web file manager.
Can I bring my existing world?
Yes. Small files go through the panel's web file manager; for a larger world, send us a download link at hello@packyard.ca.
Do you support Bedrock?
No. Java Edition only.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time from the panel.
